Police Arrests Man For Allegedly Def!ling Neighbour’s 13-year-old Daughter In Ogun

A 55-year-old man, Hassan Wasiu, has been taken into custody by the Ogun State Police Command for allegedly sexually assaulting his 13-year-old neighbor. The incident occurred on August 26, 2024, at Wasiu's residence on Falowo Street, Makun, in the Sagamu area.

The police spokesperson, Omolola Odutola, confirmed the arrest and stated that the victim's grandfather, Bimbo Ojo, reported the incident to the Sagamu Police Division. Ojo discovered his granddaughter bleeding profusely and rushed her to the Olabisi Onabanjo University Teaching Hospital for medical attention.

During questioning, the victim revealed that Wasiu lured her into his room and assaulted her. Despite Wasiu's denial, he remains in custody as the investigation continues. The case will be transferred to the state Criminal Investigation Department for further action.
